An alumna of the University of Waterloo, I have more than 17 years of progressive leadership experience in the field of human resources. Starting my career with tech giant BlackBerry, I experienced their rapid growth while working in their European, Asian, and North American divisions.
A strategic and creative human resources leader. I have supported employees in a broad range of industries including high -tech, industrial operations, advertising, aviation, education and aerospace and most recently in the renewable energy sector. An Instructor in the Strategic Human Resources Management program at Memorial University's Gardiner Center, I believe deeply in supporting HR professionals as they continue to champion change in the ever evolving world of work.
My HR operations experience has taken me around the globe supporting companies of all sizes, in various industries, unionized and non-unionized, as well as companies undergoing massive change. They all have one thing in common: their employees and cultures remain resilient when they are given the right tools and systems. Therein lies my passion.
I think it's important that people are authentic and bring all of who they are to what they do. I'm also a busy mom of two, a wife, daughter, sister and friend. A native of Hamilton Ontario I moved to St. John's Newfoundland where I have lived since 2010 and loved every minute of it!
I am on the Board of Directors of St. John's Homestead Inc., a non-profit organization that aims to address homelessness through the housing and rehousing of vulnerable and at-risk adults across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
